What types of wetsuits can I find at Anaconda?
Anaconda sells a range of wetsuits for men, women and children, including wetsuits with long sleeves and full-length bottoms as well as those with short sleeves and short leg bottoms. Wetsuits have a range of advantages for swimmers, surfers and boating enthusiasts:
Warmth: The neoprene/rubber material used in wetsuits traps a layer of water between the skin and suit. This is then warmed by the body temperature and helps maintain heat, delaying hypothermia in the water.
Buoyancy: A wetsuit provides extra buoyancy in the water, which can make swimming a little easier. The wetsuit helps your body to assume a good swimming position making it easier and more efficient to swim.
Speed: A wetsuit aids the reduction of drag in the water for the swimmer which can also contribute to a greater reduction in time over a swim. The wetsuit material can also provide a slicker surface than your skin, which helps to reduce drag.
What else is included in the boating best sellers range?
One of our biggest selling ranges is that of Personal Flotation Devices or PDFs. A personal flotation device&mdash -also known as a PFD, life jacket or life vest&mdash -gives you more buoyancy to help stay afloat. Always ensure that everyone who goes out on the water wears one. It does not matter if this is a quiet indoor waterway or the full open sea, a PDF should be worn at all times, regardless of whether you are an experienced swimmer or not.
What is the difference between surfboarding and bodyboarding?
Surfers ride a whole variety of board sizes for different wave types or styles of riding whereas bodyboarders predominantly ride waves on a smaller board made from a foam-like material while lying on their stomach and using fins on their feet to assist in kicking into the surf. Surfing requires a high level of coordination, balance and wave knowledge while keeping on your feet. Bodyboarders, on the other hand, are required to be just as agile in the water with a keen sense of how to distribute body weight while riding.
At Anaconda, choose from a great selection of surfboards as well as body boards so you can ride the waves on your preferred board.
