Find Plastic Lures That Are Made From Durable Materials To Perform For A Long Time

Durability is key when choosing plastic lures, especially when targeting aggressive fish species. High-quality materials help lures withstand repeated strikes without tearing or losing shape. This means you can rely on consistent performance over multiple fishing sessions. Investing in durable lures ensures better value and more time spent fishing instead of replacing gear.

Select From A Range Of Soft Plastic Lures That Are Buoyant & Have An Action That Creates Realism

Soft plastic lures are designed to mimic the natural movement of baitfish and other prey in the water. Buoyant materials allow them to move more freely, creating lifelike action that attracts fish. Different shapes, sizes and tail designs produce varied movements to suit different conditions and species. Choosing realistic, high-action lures can significantly improve your chances of a successful catch.

Soft Plastic Bait FAQs

Do soft plastic lures work better than bait?

Soft plastic lures often work better than traditional bait, especially when you're targeting specific fish species or fishing in areas where natural bait might not be as effective. Their lifelike movement and variety of colours and shapes make them irresistible to fish, mimicking the action of real prey. Unlike live bait, soft plastics are easy to store, last longer and can be reused multiple times. While bait has its place in certain fishing conditions, soft plastics provide versatility and convenience, making them a go-to option for many anglers.

What are the most popular soft plastic lures?

• The worm: Fish are curious creatures, and even though worms aren't native to watery environments, fish love them. Worms have stood the test of time and continue to catch millions of fish every year, with worm-like soft plastic lures in demand.
• The grub: Grubs come in a few different styles and shapes, as well as in many colours. Soft plastic lure grubs can have a curly or straight tail. The types of grubs with a straight or flat tail are called Stingray grubs.
• Tube bait: Another favourite soft plastic lure is called the tube bait. It gets its name from the fact that it looks like a hollow, plastic tube! The tube bait imitates a dying bait fish almost perfectly when allowed to fall on a slack line.
• The shad: The soft plastic shad body is popular in fresh water and saltwater throughout many regions of the world. They are a very straight-forward bait to fish with and they will catch a wide variety of fish. Shad bodies can range in colour from solid white or solid black to any variation or mixture of colours in between.

Standout products at Anaconda include Berkley Gulp soft plastic fishing lures, spinnerbaits, Curly Tailz and Grubz, Minnowz, to name a few. Soft plastic lures are suitable for fishing from boats and kayaks, or while river or rock fishing.
