TRY SHRIMP BAIT AS A GREAT OPTION
Our second recommendation is not a lure per se, but it is still worth mentioning here. A lot of predatory saltwater fish adore some shrimp bait, so you should certainly consider adding it to your arsenal. Naturally, the more advanced versions are more likely to catch the attention of big game fish.
JERKBAIT IS A LOW COST VERSTILE OPTION
When you do not want to spend too much on fishing tackle that can solely be used in salt water, you should consider jerkbait. Jerkbait is usually made from a soft plastic and it can be used in both saltwater and freshwater. So, instead of buying a lure that you can solely use in saltwater, you will have one for other fishing waters too. Most jerkbait lures are used relatively high in the water column.
Of course, some of these lures can have some extra weight and can therefore go deeper into the water. They also come in many different colours, so you can obtain a variety of them to figure out which one works best on your regular fishing spots.
