When should I wear goggles?

Whatever goggles you are looking for, we have a wide assortment purposely designed for your favourite hobby. This collection focuses predominantly on our protective goggles, which have been designed for snow sports, such as skiing and snowboarding. When hitting the slopes, goggles should be worn to ensure protection from snow blindness and to reduce the impact of harmful rays from the sun on the eyes. Aside from providing a sturdy and protective cover for your eyes, our goggles offer the wearer protection from UV rays whilst simultaneously enhancing the colour and contrast of the wearers vision.

How do I choose the correct goggles for me?

Well, that is down to personal preference really and the conditions in which you tend to be skiing or snowboarding in. Choose your goggles carefully and ensure that they fit properly, they should be snug but not too tight and should not pinch your face at any point.

How do I choose the right colour of goggles?

Well, your choice of lens tint depends on the conditions that you plan to be in, but check out our handy hints below for choosing the right lens tint for you.

Clear: Clear goggles are generally preferred for low light conditions and for being out on the slopes at night.

Pink: Pink goggles are used when the sunlight is at a low to medium level, or for cloudy days with poorer light conditions.

Yellow/ Gold: Yellow or gold lenses are frequently used for days with heavy snowfall with the lens tint serving to enhance vision whilst also blocking the brightness of the falling snow.

Orange/Amber: These lenses can increase visibility and are used for overcast conditions.

Black ski goggles: Black ski goggles are often polarised and are used when the sun is shining, and the snow is plentiful, ideal for those beautiful bluebird days. These lenses block out high amounts of ultraviolet lights as well as significantly reducing the glare from the sun and the snow.

Brown: Brown goggle lenses are ideal for those super sunny days as they are perfect for reducing the glare from the sun on the snow.

Red: Red goggle lenses are preferred when the light conditions are medium to bright. Also known as vermillion lenses, the red lenses amplify the sharpness of the colour, enhancing the wearer’s perception and providing clarity of vision.

Green: Green goggles are a good all-rounder, they are multi-functional and can be used in most light conditions.

Blue: Blue lenses are predominantly used for when the light is low, but they can be combined with others for a more multi-functional use.

What design features do I need to look out for when choosing goggles?

UVA/ UVB Protection Purchase goggles with UVA and UVB protection to help to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful rays.

Anti-Fog coating: Many of our goggles also come with an anti-fog coating to help to ensure constant clarity of vision by reducing the build-up of fog.

Polarised: Polarised lenses contain a special filter that blocks out intense reflected light and reduces glare and can be essential for reducing the impact of snow blindness

Adjustable strap: Many of our goggles also comes with an adjustable strap so that you can ensure that they fit perfectly. Make sure that your goggles are snug but not too tight so that they can perform to the best of their abilities.
