Solar panels are ideal for providing power in a heap of different applications including 4X4, caravanning, camping, and marine. Anaconda's range of solar panels are lightweight, feature anodised frames, mono-crystalline construction, and come fully accredited.

Solar blankets

One of the most popular options for a whole range of campers, solar blankets offer great functionality and versatility in a rugged package. Built from multiple, smaller banks of cells and coated in durable plastics, solar blankets are lightweight, easily stored and folded, making them super easy to set up and pack away.

Solar mats

Solar mats are usually made up of three to four banks of solar cells. They're similar to solar blankets in many ways but have fewer folds and only fold in one direction. This makes them slightly bulkier to store but provide added rigidity, enabling them to be free-standing (for optimal sun absorption) if required.

How to make the most of your solar panels

Portable solar panels are a great way to power your campsite, but you do need to know how to set them up and care for them properly if you want to get the most out of them. Here are a couple of tips and tricks to get you started:

• Keep them clean: Solar panels, blankets, and mats can gather dust and dirt in a surprisingly short amount of time. Wipe them down regularly with a microfibre cloth to make sure nothing gets between your solar setup and the sun.
• No shade is good shade: Even a small amount of shade can have a significant impact on your power output. Look out for tree branches, long grass, or anything else that could cast a shadow on your panels.
• Check your connections: Check all your connections regularly to make sure they're nice and clean on both ends.
